About AAII and the Denver Chapter
Welcome! Founded in 1978, the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII) is a not-for-profit organization that arms individual investors with the education and tools they need to build wealth. From stock investing to financial planning and retirement saving, AAII seeks to educate you on all your needs --without any product-sales bias or pressure. The Denver Chapter, staffed entirely by volunteers, is one of 50 chapters in 40 states nationwide. All of our events are equally open to AAII members and non-members. We offer educational guest speakers on investing topics one evening per month. Our special-interest groups include: an options group, an investment book-discussion group, a monthly breakfast discussion circle, a trading/technical analysis group and regional groups in Colorado Springs, Boulder, and Estes Park. When speakers allow, we webcast presentations for members who live at great distances from Denver. This website lets you see all that is going on, and invites you to contact us or register for coming events. We welcome your inputs.
Must I Join AAII to attend its events?
Not at all. Anyone is welcome to attend any AAII event, whether a member or not. Many events in Colorado are free. For events where admission is charged, AAII rules require that we offer existing members a preferred or discounted rate vs. what members are charged (one of the benefits of membership!).
Joining AAII can be done by phone or via internnet with a credit card, or by mail. Annual dues are $29. Members receive discounted admissions to local and national events, receive 10 issues per year of the AAII Journal, and get an investors' tax guide and a mutual-fund guide. In addition, members enjoy discounts on various AAII add-on publications (e.g., Computerized Investing) and on database software and data updates -- all offered by AAII HQ.
The choice is entirely yours! Join now, or later, or not at all. Your can try us out before you buy, if you wish. If you are an AAII member, you are entitled to discount admissions at its 50 chapters' meetings nationwide, so you can benefit even when on vacation!
How Do I Join AAII?
